Fomo
Social trading app: one USDC balance buys tokens on six chains, every trade shows up in a public feed, and a separate perps mode runs on Hyperliquid.
Fomo is a consumer trading app, not a protocol. You sign up with an Apple ID, a Google account, or an email code, the app creates a wallet for you through Privy, and one USDC balance buys tokens on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, and Robinhood Chain with no bridging and no gas token to hold. The hook is the feed: every trade on the platform is public with the trader's PnL attached, and you can follow people and get a push notification when they buy or sell. The price of that convenience is the fee. A spot trade costs 0.50% each way, more on Solana orders under 190 USDC and less on the majors, and on the EVM chains the network fee comes on top. The wallet is yours: the keys can be exported at any time, and Fomo says it cannot move, hold, or freeze your funds. Cashing out to a bank is US only and needs an ID. Everyone else withdraws USDC to a wallet or exchange. Since June 2026 there is also a perps mode on Hyperliquid and trade.xyz with its own 0.05% fee, closed to US persons. FOMO Labs, founded by three former dYdX staff, has raised $94 million from Benchmark, Index Ventures, and Union Square Ventures.

Our assessment of Fomo
Strengths
- One balance, six chains. USDC in your cash balance buys any token on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, or Robinhood Chain. Fomo routes the trade, and you never pick a network or hold ETH or BNB for gas. On Solana it also pays the gas, priority fees, and token rent.
- Card and Apple Pay in. A bank-issued debit card or Apple Pay funds the USDC balance in minutes through Coinbase's onramp, Buy with Apple Pay purchases a token outright through Crossmint, and USDC deposits from any wallet or exchange work everywhere the app does.
- The wallet is yours. Fomo creates a Solana wallet and an EVM wallet for you through Privy, splits the key with Shamir's Secret Sharing so no single party holds it, and lets you export both keys from Settings at any time. Its own documentation says it cannot access, move, or freeze your funds.
- One fee, shown up front. Spot trades cost 0.50%, or 0.05% on tokens the app marks as low fee, and the quote separates Fomo's fee from the network fee before you confirm. A referral link at signup takes 10% off for good.
- The social layer is the product. A live feed of every trade with PnL attached, a leaderboard ranked by realized and unrealized PnL rather than follower count, 700-character theses with the position attached, and alerts when someone you follow trades.
- Token labels. Each token is marked verified, unverified, or with a warning. Verification needs $1 million of daily volume, a $5 million market cap, and 1,000 holders, and warnings flag contracts that block sells, illiquid pools, and removed liquidity.
- Perps from the same account. Move USDC to the perps balance and trade crypto, US stocks, indices, commodities, and pre-IPO markets on Hyperliquid and trade.xyz with isolated margin, stop-loss and take-profit, and one-click orders.
Watch for
- Small trades pay more. On Solana an order under 5 USDC pays a flat 0.10 USDC, 5 to 47.50 USDC pays 2%, and 47.50 to 190 USDC pays a flat 0.95 USDC, so a 20 USDC buy and sell costs 0.40 USDC each way, 4% round trip. On Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, and Robinhood Chain the network fee is added to the 0.50%, and the app makes you confirm when it is a large share of the trade. Ethereum also has a 15 USDC deposit minimum and a 5 USDC minimum sell.
- No limit orders on spot. Every spot trade is an instant buy or sell at the quoted price, so you cannot rest a buy below the market or set a take-profit or stop-loss on a token you hold, and the app sends price alerts for perps positions only. To exit a spot position at a price, you have to be watching when it gets there. The perps mode has stop-loss and take-profit triggers, but it also opens positions with market orders only.
- Perps carry two fees and a third cost. Fomo's 0.05% is charged on open and on close on top of Hyperliquid's own trading fee, which applies to the full leveraged size, plus hourly funding. The Hyperliquid profile has that schedule. Liquidations and stop-losses trigger on Hyperliquid's mark price, not the chart, triggered orders fill as market orders with 10% slippage allowed, and the Terms warn that profitable positions can be auto-deleveraged and that stock and commodity markets may have no insurance fund.
- US persons get spot only. Perps and Robinhood's stock tokens are closed to US persons, defined to include citizens and permanent residents living abroad, and the stock tokens are also closed in Canada, the UK, and Switzerland. Using a VPN is a material breach, and Fomo says it may geoblock, run behavioral analysis, and ask for identity documents to enforce it.
- Bank cash-out is narrow. Bank withdrawals reach US accounts only, go through Spritz after a one-time government-ID check, start at 5 dollars, and take 1 to 3 business days. The same-day Fast route has an extra fee the help center does not state. Outside the US you withdraw USDC to a wallet or exchange on one of the six chains.
- Only USDC leaves through the app. Any other token has to be moved by exporting the private key into another wallet, positions under 2 USDC (5 on Ethereum) cannot be sold in the app, and USDC sent on a network Fomo does not credit, such as Arbitrum or Polygon, sits at your address until you recover it yourself with the exported key.
- Your login is the wallet. There is no seed phrase. The wallet is tied to the Apple ID, Google account, or email you signed up with, and signing in with a different one creates a new, empty account. Lock down that email, keep Face ID on, and export the keys before you ever delete the account, because deletion leaves the funds on chain with no way back in through Fomo.
- Memecoins are the main course. Warning labels catch many bad contracts, but Fomo's own help pages say not every risky token is flagged, honeypots trap funds permanently, and nothing on chain can be reversed.
- Two claims about the app in 2026, neither confirmed. On August 23, 2026 an X account alleged that an iOS update had drained $6 million from users. Fomo's co-founder denied it, and Protos, which reported the claim, found one real 662 SOL transfer, no evidence tying it to the app, and an accuser that ZachXBT has linked to the ZKasino rug pull. Then from September 9 to 17, 2026 an unrelated App Store app called FomoPeek carried key-stealing malware. Protos first reported it as the Fomo app and corrected the story after SlowMist's security chief said it was FomoPeek. Install only from the store listings linked on fomo.family, published by FOMO Labs Inc.
- The Terms are one-sided. New York law, binding arbitration, a class-action waiver, a one-year limit on claims, fees that can change at any time, and a statement that Fomo is not registered with or licensed by any regulator and is not a DEX, exchange, or broker.
How to start
- Check the Terms. Residents of the listed countries and regions cannot use the app at all, US persons can trade spot but not perps or Robinhood stock tokens, you must be 18, and a VPN to get around any of it breaches the Terms.
- Install from the App Store or Google Play listing linked on fomo.family, or open the web app there, and check that the publisher is FOMO Labs Inc. Sign in with an Apple ID, a Google account, or your email, and keep using that same login. If someone gave you a referral link, sign up through it: the 10% fee discount cannot be added later without contacting support.
- Fund the USDC balance with a bank-issued debit card or Apple Pay, through Pay with Coinbase, or by sending USDC on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, or Ethereum (USDG on Robinhood Chain) to the deposit address for that exact network. Card and Apple Pay deposits are in the mobile app, and on Ethereum the smallest deposit that credits is 15 USDC.
- Find a token through the feed, the leaderboard, search, or a pasted contract address, read its label and holder data, and check the quote for Fomo's fee, the network fee, and the price impact before you slide to buy. Add a thesis if you want your reasoning on the record.
- For perps, tap Transfer cash to move at least 5 USDC into the perps balance, then pick a market, a whole-number leverage under the asset's cap, a size of at least 15 USDC, and stop-loss and take-profit levels. Watch the hourly funding line as closely as the price.
- To leave, withdraw USDC to a wallet or exchange on the matching network, or to a US bank after the ID check. Move perps collateral back to the token balance first, and export the keys for any token you cannot sell in the app.

Fees
Spot trades cost 0.50% each on every network. On Solana a small-order ladder applies below 190 USDC, and on the other chains you also pay the network fee shown in the quote. Tokens the app marks as low fee cost 0.05%. The perps mode charges 0.05% of position size per trade on top of Hyperliquid's fee and funding. Every fee is shown before you confirm, and the Terms let Fomo change fees at any time.
- Solana orders by size: Under 5 USDC: a flat 0.10 USDC. 5 to 47.50 USDC: 2% of the order. 47.50 to 190 USDC: a flat 0.95 USDC. 190 USDC and above: 0.50%. Fomo pays the Solana gas, priority fees, and token rent.
- Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, and Robinhood Chain: 0.50% per trade plus the network fee, which you pay and which the quote shows as a separate line before you confirm. When the network fee is a large share of the trade, the app asks you to confirm again.
- Major tokens: Tokens the app marks as low fee, such as BTC, ETH, and SOL, cost 0.05% per trade: a flat minimum of no more than 0.50 USDC on orders under 1,000 USDC, and 0.05% from 1,000 USDC.
- Referral discount: Signing up through a referral link takes 10% off trading fees, so the standard 0.50% becomes 0.45%, applied automatically to every trade.
- Perps: 0.05% of position size per trade, on open and on close, plus Hyperliquid's own trading fee on the full leveraged size and hourly funding. Moving USDC between the token and perps balances is free, and Fomo covers the 1 USDC Hyperliquid account fee.
- Minimums and token fees: The smallest sell in the app is 2 USDC on most networks and 5 USDC on Ethereum. Smaller positions can only be reached by exporting the key. Some tokens charge their own contract-level fee on buys and sells, set by the token's creators.
Leverage and margin
Leverage is picked in whole numbers up to a cap set per asset: 40x on BTC, 25x on ETH, 20x on SOL, and 10x on most altcoins. The caps for stock, index, and commodity perps are not published. Every position is isolated, so a liquidation costs only that position's margin, and you can add or remove margin on an open position. Collateral is USDC in a separate perps balance, moved in from the token balance (5 USDC minimum in, 2 USDC out), and the smallest position is 15 USDC notional. Liquidation, stop-loss, and take-profit all trigger on Hyperliquid's mark price, not the chart price. A triggered order fills as a market order with a 10% slippage allowance, and funding is paid or received every hour. The Terms warn that the protocol can auto-deleverage profitable positions and that non-crypto markets may lack an insurance fund.
Markets and order types
Spot covers tokens on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, and Robinhood Chain, bought from one USDC balance with no bridging. The app labels each token verified, unverified, or with a warning, and Robinhood Chain carries Robinhood's US stock and ETF tokens, which are OTC derivatives issued by Robinhood Europe UAB rather than shares. Perps, launched June 11, 2026, cover everything listed on Hyperliquid and trade.xyz: crypto such as BTC, ETH, SOL, and HYPE, US stocks such as NVDA and GOOGL, the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Kospi 200, and Nikkei 225, oil, gold, silver, copper, and natural gas, and pre-IPO markets including SpaceX. Perps orders are market orders with optional stop-loss and take-profit, and spot trades are instant buys and sells at the quoted price.
Country restrictions
13+ countries restrictedThe Terms, dated August 17, 2026, bar residents, citizens, and anyone located in Cuba, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Libya, Myanmar, North Korea, Sudan, Venezuela, and Yemen, plus the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions, any other country embargoed or sanctioned by the US, the UK, or the EU, and any jurisdiction where crypto trading is prohibited. Perps are not offered to US persons, a definition that includes US citizens living abroad, and Robinhood's stock and ETF tokens are also closed to residents of Canada, the UK, and Switzerland. Spot trading has no US exclusion. You must be 18, and using a VPN to get around any of this breaches the Terms.
Identity checks
You sign up with an Apple ID, a Google account, or an email code, and Fomo creates a Solana wallet and an EVM wallet for you through Privy. There is no identity check to open the account or to trade, and the private keys can be exported from Settings at any time. Identity checks sit at the edges: the first withdrawal to a US bank account requires a government ID through Spritz, Fomo's payment partner. The Terms, dated August 17, 2026, reserve the right to require KYC for the perps mode, and the card and Apple Pay providers apply their own rules.
Depositing
The Deposit screen offers four routes, and not every account sees all of them. A bank-issued debit card funds the USDC cash balance within a few minutes. Prepaid cards, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and Apple Cash are refused, and card availability follows the payment provider's country list. Apple Pay works two ways: on the card screen it funds the cash balance through Coinbase, with a weekly limit shown in the app, and Buy with Apple Pay purchases a single token directly through Crossmint, capped at 2,500 dollars a day. Pay with Coinbase draws on a Coinbase account. Crypto deposits take USDC on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, or Ethereum, and USDG on Robinhood Chain, which converts into the Solana USDC balance. The smallest deposit that credits is 15 USDC on Ethereum and 0.50 on Base, BNB Chain, Monad, and Robinhood Chain, with no minimum on Solana. The help center publishes no card fee. On the web you fund with crypto, and the web launch post says card and Apple Pay deposits are done in the mobile app.
Withdrawing
You withdraw USDC from the cash balance to any wallet or exchange address on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, or Ethereum, or USDG on Robinhood Chain, choosing the network to match the destination. The help center lists no withdrawal fee for these. Bank withdrawals go through Spritz and reach US bank accounts only, after a one-time ID check: the minimum is 5 dollars, a regular transfer takes 1 to 3 business days, and a same-day Fast option, for requests between 9 AM and 5 PM Eastern on a business day, carries an extra fee that is not published. Anything other than USDC leaves only by exporting the private key into another wallet, positions under 2 USDC (5 on Ethereum) cannot be sold in the app, and perps collateral has to move back to the token balance first.
Referral program
Signing up through another user's link, fomo.family/r/ followed by their username, takes 10% off trading fees, so the standard 0.50% rate becomes 0.45% on every trade. The code has to go in at signup, though support can attach one afterwards. The help center describes the discount against the spot rate and does not say whether it applies to perps. The referrer receives 25% of the referred user's trading fees, paid into their cash balance, except the referred user's first Solana buy. Creators can apply to a separate affiliate program whose commission tiers are not published. The Terms ban self-referral and let Fomo claw back rewards. No ChainScouter code is active.
Platform
Fomo is an iOS app (rated 18+ on the App Store, developer FOMO Labs Inc.), an Android app on Google Play, and, since April 29, 2026, a web app at fomo.family that shares the same account, balance, positions, and follows. You sign in with an Apple ID, a Google account, or an email code. On phones, Face ID or a fingerprint gates opening the app, withdrawals, and key exports. The app is built around a live feed of other users' trades and theses, a leaderboard ranked by realized and unrealized PnL, alerts when traders you follow buy or sell, and TradingView charts. There is no copy trading. Spot trades are instant buys and sells at the quoted price, and the help center documents no limit orders and no API. Perps trade from the same account with one-click orders and stop-loss and take-profit levels.

Is there a Fomo referral discount?
Signing up through another user's link, fomo.family/r/ followed by their username, takes 10% off trading fees, so the standard 0.50% rate becomes 0.45% on every trade. Is there a Fomo mobile app?
Fomo is an iOS app (rated 18+ on the App Store, developer FOMO Labs Inc.), an Android app on Google Play, and, since April 29, 2026, a web app at fomo.family that shares the same account, balance, positions, and follows. Perps trade from the same account with one-click orders and stop-loss and take-profit levels.
Is Fomo safe to use?
The custody model is the strongest part. Your wallet is created by Privy, the key is split so no single party holds it, you can export it at any time, and Fomo's own documentation says it cannot access, move, or freeze your funds. The weak points come with that design: your Apple ID, Google account, or email is the only way in, there is no seed phrase to fall back on, and once you buy a token that turns out to be a honeypot, nothing can be undone. Fomo publishes no security audit or bug bounty, the Terms disclaim any representation about the safety of your assets, and one unverified drain allegation from August 2026 and one misattributed malware report from September 2026 sit in its record. Treat it as a well-funded consumer app on top of DEX liquidity: fine for money you are prepared to lose on memecoins, not a place to keep savings.
Who is behind Fomo?
FOMO Labs Inc., a US company whose Terms are governed by New York law. Its three co-founders, Paul Erlanger, Se Yong Park, and Prashan Dharmasena, worked together at dYdX before starting the company in 2025. Fomo raised a $2 million pre-seed round from more than 140 angels in February 2025, a $17 million Series A led by Benchmark in November 2025, and a $75 million Series B led by Index Ventures with Union Square Ventures in June 2026, which Fortune reported at a $550 million valuation. The app launched publicly in May 2025.
Does Fomo have copy trading?
No. You can follow any trader, see their buys, sells, and theses in a Friends feed, and get a notification when they trade above a size you set, but every trade you make is your own. The Send button on a profile transfers money to that person and does not copy their position.
Can I move my tokens out of Fomo?
USDC, yes, from the Withdraw screen to any address on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, or Robinhood Chain (as USDG). Anything else leaves by exporting your private key from Settings, Account, Export: the Solana key opens your Solana wallet, and the EVM key opens the same address on every EVM chain in any wallet you trust, so the tokens are already yours and simply become visible there. Never paste that key into a website or send it to anyone, including support.
How current is this Fomo profile?
Every fact on this page links to its source. The facts were checked Sep 25, 2026, and that date moves only when we recheck them. Updating the page does not re-verify a fact.
