GMGN
Multi-chain memecoin terminal on the web, phones, and Telegram: launch feeds, holder and rug checks, wallet tracking, automated copy trading and exits, and a perps beta.
GMGN is a memecoin trading terminal that runs in a browser, as a phone app, and as a set of Telegram bots, all on one account. It started in 2023 as a smart-money tracker and is still built around watching other wallets: every token page labels its holders as snipers, insiders, bundlers, or the developer, you can follow wallets and X accounts, and it will copy a chosen wallet's buys and sells for you. Spot trading covers Solana, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum, and a string of newer chains, and in September 2026 it opened a perps beta with crypto, stock, and commodity markets. Every spot trade costs a flat 1%, plus network costs. Understand the custody model before anything else. Sign in with Google, email, Telegram, or even Phantom and GMGN creates wallets whose keys sit on its servers. That is what lets limit orders, copy trades, and trailing stops fire while you are offline, and it is also why a withdrawal waits on two-factor authentication and a whitelisted address. GMGN's docs say those keys cannot be exported, though the web app now offers a one-time download. The company operates under British Virgin Islands law, and its co-founder Haze has said the team chose not to chase a fundraise or a platform token while memecoins were hot.

Our assessment of GMGN
Strengths
- Holder data on every token. Each token page splits holders into snipers, insiders, bundled wallets, the developer, fresh wallets, and suspected phishing addresses, with the share each holds, and runs a contract check, powered by GoPlus, for burned liquidity, honeypots, mint authority, and renounced ownership.
- Copy trading that places the trades. Pick a wallet and GMGN mirrors its buys and sells at your size, filtered by market cap, liquidity, token age, and a blacklist, with batch take-profit and stop-loss on the copied position. The docs cover every setting.
- Exits you do not have to watch. Limit buys and sells with an expiry, take-profit and stop-loss with trailing versions, a sell when a token migrates, and a sell when the developer sells all run on GMGN's side, so they fire with the tab closed.
- MEV protection with a backstop. Anti-MEV routing sends orders through protected nodes, and GMGN has offered compensation for verified sandwich losses on protected trades since July 2025. When its BSC nodes were bypassed for 13 hours in October 2025, it repaid all 729 affected transactions within a day.
- Many chains from one login. The chain selector switches between Solana, the EVM chains, and Tron, Trenches can show several chains' launches side by side, and Convert moves funds between chains without leaving the app.
- Every surface. The web terminal, iOS and Android apps, per-chain Telegram bots, and an Agent API that scripts and AI assistants can drive all reach the same account.
- A published bug bounty. GMGN pays up to 1,000,000 USDT for flaws that expose wallets, funds, or keys, and publishes the scope and payout tiers.
Watch for
- The fee is 1% each way. A buy and a sell cost about 2% of the position before gas, priority fees, tips, launchpad fees, and token taxes, and copy trading an active wallet repeats that on every fill. GMGN's own docs warn that many copiers profit on the trades and still lose money to priority fees.
- GMGN holds the keys. Sign in any way other than trading straight from an extension wallet and your funds sit in wallets GMGN controls, and the app calls this a custodial account. The App Store listing, the Terms, and the docs' security page say the opposite in places, describing self-custodial wallets that GMGN cannot move. The one-time key export in the web app is the only way to hold those keys yourself, and it does not cover imported wallets.
- Leaving takes planning. Withdrawals need 2FA, then a whitelisted address, and each step starts a wait of hours. Changing 2FA or resetting your password locks withdrawals for a day. Set both up before you deposit, not when you need the money.
- Accounts have been drained through GMGN. On October 28, 2025 Haze said that a forged third-party token website had triggered unauthorized transactions on about 107 accounts and that GMGN would repay the losses in full to those accounts that day. GMGN has published no loss total or root-cause report.
- Fakes target GMGN users. The docs warn of copycat Telegram bots that swap a capital I for a lowercase l, fake admins who message first, and fake apps, and in July 2025 a lookalike GMGN site was draining wallets. Use only the bots in the official list and the app links on gmgn.ai.
- The perps beta is days old. It opened on September 21, 2026 with liquidity from third-party market makers, according to Haze, and GMGN's docs have no perps page: nothing on the venue, collateral, an insurance fund, or how liquidations run beyond the fee and leverage figures in its market data. Treat it as a test.
- Copy trading and auto-buy are documented for Solana only. The docs describe both features on Solana and say nothing about the other chains.
- The Terms give you little. They cap GMGN's liability at $1,000 or whatever a statute imposes, whichever is greater, send disputes to a three-arbitrator panel at the BVI International Arbitration Centre with no class actions, let GMGN suspend anyone for any reason, and date from December 2024, before the mobile apps and the perps beta.
- Memecoins are the main course. The Terms themselves call the listed tokens entertainment with no practical use, and GMGN says its security labels come from third-party data and are for reference only. Its About page claims that users who track experts reach up to 80% investment success, and nothing published supports that number.
How to start
- Check the Terms. You must be 18, not on a sanctions list, and not in or from Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, or Syria. Nothing else about your country is stated, so check your own law.
- Open gmgn.ai by typing the address, or install the app from the links on gmgn.ai/app and check the publisher. Sign up with Google, email, Telegram, Phantom, or MetaMask. Enter an invite code only if you want one tied to your account, because it cannot be changed later.
- Before depositing, bind 2FA with a passkey or Google Authenticator and set a withdrawal whitelist address, so the waiting periods run out before you need them. If you want the keys, download them once from a computer after 2FA takes effect and store them offline.
- Fund the wallet by sending the chain's gas token, such as SOL or BNB, to the address on the Deposit/Withdraw page on the matching network, or buy with a card through the in-app partner and expect its checks.
- Open the trading settings and set slippage, the priority fee and tip, and anti-MEV before the first trade, then place a small order and read the Total Fees line to see what a fill costs.
- Find a token in Trenches or Trending or by pasting a contract address, read the holder labels and the security check, then buy and set take-profit, stop-loss, or trailing orders in the same step. For copy trading, add the wallet, cap the size, and keep the priority fee low enough that fees do not eat the gains.
- To leave, withdraw to your whitelisted address from the website, consolidating memecoins into one wallet first if they are spread across several.

Fees
Every spot trade pays GMGN a flat 1% of its value on every chain, and copied trades and automated orders pay the same. Network costs come on top: gas plus the priority fee and tip you set on Solana, and gas on the EVM chains. Launchpad fees and token taxes apply where a token has them. The perps beta charges 0.015% maker and 0.045% taker. The Terms let GMGN change fees at any time, effective when posted, and authorize it to take fees straight from your wallet.
- Network costs: On Solana each trade also pays gas plus the priority fee and tip you set, each from 0.0001 SOL up to 2 SOL. They go to validators and private nodes, not GMGN. The docs suggest 0.002 to 0.005 SOL in total when speed does not matter and more for automated orders. On the EVM chains you pay gas in the chain's own token.
- MEV protection: Anti-MEV routing works only from a GMGN-held wallet and needs a higher tip. Its Secure mode sends orders to vetted nodes and is slightly slower, and since July 2025 GMGN has offered compensation for verified sandwich losses on trades placed with protection on.
- Launchpad fees and token taxes: Launchpads such as Pump.fun take their own fee on tokens they issue, and some tokens charge a tax on buys and sells. The trade screen's Total Fees line covers gas, tips, pool fees, and GMGN's fee.
- Copy trading and automation: Every copied trade, limit order, and automated take-profit or stop-loss pays the same 1% plus network costs. The docs warn that copying an active wallet with a high priority fee can lose money even when the copied trades are profitable.
- Perps (beta): 0.015% maker and 0.045% taker on every market, a 2% liquidation fee, and a 10 USDC minimum order in GMGN's market data on September 26, 2026, plus funding.
- Card purchases and cross-chain converts: MoonPay and Onramper set their own purchase fees, shown at checkout. Convert moves funds between chains through a third-party swap provider that charges its own fee, and GMGN says it adds none.
Leverage and margin
The perps beta, open since September 21, 2026, sets a cap per market in GMGN's published risk table. BTC goes to 40x, and ETH, gold, silver, and the QQQ and SPY funds to 25x. SOL, XRP, Brent oil, and stocks such as Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla go to 20x, most other markets to 10x, and six others to 5x. Each cap steps down as a position grows, so BTC drops to 20x above 12 million USDC of notional. Spot trading has no leverage.
Markets and order types
Spot trading covers tokens on Solana, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Stable, Arc, X Layer, HyperEVM, MegaETH, Monad, and Tron, as listed in the chain selector on September 26, 2026. The Trenches view follows new launches on launchpads such as Pump.fun, letsbonk, and Four.meme from creation through migration. Spot orders include market buys and sells, limit orders that expire after 1 hour, 24 hours, or 3 days, take-profit and stop-loss with trailing versions, buys and sells triggered by a migration, sells triggered by the developer selling, and wallet copy trading. The docs describe copy trading and auto-buy for Solana only. The perps beta lists 57 USDC-margined markets in GMGN's market data on September 26, 2026: 24 crypto, 30 stocks and ETFs, and gold, silver, and Brent oil.
Country restrictions
5+ countries restrictedThe Terms, dated December 6, 2024, bar anyone in, under the control of, or a national or resident of Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, or Syria, and anyone on the UN, US OFAC, or EU sanctions lists, and require users to be 18. They say GMGN runs the service from the British Virgin Islands, that users anywhere else are responsible for their own local law, and that GMGN may suspend anyone for any reason. The terms linked from the iOS app's store listing, dated January 1, 2025, name the same five countries. Neither version mentions the perps beta.
Identity checks
You sign up with Google, an email code, Telegram, or a browser wallet such as Phantom or MetaMask, with an optional invite code, and no identity document is asked for. The Terms and the Privacy Policy, both dated December 6, 2024, reserve no identity check. The policy lists wallet addresses, public on-chain data, a Telegram handle, contact details you choose to give, and usage data down to country-level location. Withdrawals need two-factor authentication, an account-security step rather than an identity check. Card purchases run through MoonPay or Onramper under those providers' own rules.
Depositing
Signing in with Google, email, Telegram, or Phantom gives you GMGN-held wallets on each chain, funded by sending that chain's gas token, such as SOL, ETH, BNB, or TRX, to the address on the Deposit/Withdraw page. A deposit on the wrong network cannot be recovered. With an extension wallet connected, the same page moves funds across in one step, or you can trade from the extension wallet itself without GMGN's automation. The web app's Buy option takes a credit or debit card or Apple Pay through MoonPay, and the mobile app buys SOL, ETH, BNB, or USDC with local currency through Onramper in 59 countries and regions, each under the provider's own fees and checks. Convert moves funds between chains, and stablecoins sent by mistake can be sold for the chain's own token.
Withdrawing
The Telegram bots cannot withdraw and send you to the website instead. You first bind two-factor authentication with Google Authenticator or a passkey, and withdrawals stay locked for 3 hours after binding it, 24 hours after unbinding or re-binding it, and 24 hours after a password reset. Transfers go to a whitelisted address, which takes 3 hours to activate after it is set or changed and then skips the 2FA prompt. A small balance must stay behind for rent and gas, and GMGN publishes no withdrawal fee beyond the network fee. Memecoins leave through the multi-wallet Consolidate and Distribute tools, which also need 2FA and list only tokens worth more than $10. GMGN's docs say the keys of GMGN-created wallets cannot be exported, while the current web app offers a one-time key download from a computer once 2FA is active. Imported wallets are excluded.
Referral program
GMGN pays referrers 10% to 30% of the trading fees of the people they bring in, rising with the volume referred, and a referrer can apply for a higher rate. One code covers the website and every bot, and an invite code entered at signup cannot be changed. Neither the docs nor the Terms publish a fee discount for the person who signs up. The Terms, dated December 6, 2024, limit referral links to people the referrer knows personally, bar posting them on websites, blogs, X, Reddit, or coupon sites, and let GMGN change, suspend, or void rewards at its discretion. No ChainScouter code is active.
Platform
GMGN runs as a browser terminal at gmgn.ai, as a mobile app listed on the App Store as GMGN - Meme Track (published by GraceMatrix Technologies Limited since June 2025) and on Google Play as GMGN (published by GMGN Labs Limited), with a TestFlight build and a direct APK download also linked from gmgn.ai/app, and as a set of per-chain Telegram trading bots such as @GMGN_sol_bot. The web terminal holds the Trenches launch feed, trending lists, wallet and X trackers, copy trading, a portfolio view, and the perps beta, and an Agent API lets scripts and AI assistants read data and place trades with an API key. Support runs through the official Telegram group and the @gmgnai account on X.

Is there a GMGN mobile app?
Is GMGN safe to use?
It depends on whether you trust GMGN with the keys. Signing in the usual ways creates wallets that GMGN controls, which is what makes its automation work and what makes your funds only as safe as GMGN's servers, your 2FA, and your account login. Its record shows problems it paid for: a 13-hour bypass of its BSC anti-sandwich nodes and a phishing wave that drained about 107 accounts, both in October 2025 and both repaid in full. GMGN runs a public bug bounty of up to 1,000,000 USDT but links no third-party audit of its platform, and its Terms cap its liability at $1,000. Keep only trading money there, set up 2FA and a whitelist on day one, and treat every token on the platform as a gamble.
Who is behind GMGN?
The Terms name GMGN.AI, governed by British Virgin Islands law with arbitration in the BVI. The Android app is published by GMGN Labs Limited, with an address in Road Town, BVI, and the iOS app by GraceMatrix Technologies Limited. Its public face is the pseudonymous co-founder Haze, who told ChainCatcher in March 2025 that he joined a quantitative trading firm in 2018, started GMGN in 2023, and had chosen not to chase a fundraise or a platform token while memecoins were hot. GMGN's job listings include onsite roles in Hong Kong. Support runs through its Telegram group and the @gmgnai account on X.
What went wrong in October 2025?
Two things in one week. On October 25 bots got around GMGN's anti-sandwich nodes on BNB Chain for about 13 hours and sandwiched 729 user transactions. GMGN restored the nodes, and Haze said the losses were calculated and repaid to users' wallets on October 26, Crypto Economy reported. On October 28 Haze said a forged third-party token website had triggered unauthorized transactions on about 107 accounts and that GMGN would repay the losses in full to those accounts, which it said were secured. GMGN has published no root-cause report for either incident.
Does GMGN have a token?
No. GMGN has announced no token, and none came with the perps beta. The mobile app awards credits for trading, but nothing ties them to a token. Treat anything called a GMGN token on a launchpad as unconnected unless GMGN itself announces it.
How current is this GMGN profile?
Every fact on this page links to its source. The facts were checked Sep 26, 2026, and that date moves only when we recheck them. Updating the page does not re-verify a fact.
